Yaupon 3 Roast Bundle

What makes Goldholly yaupon different?
Refreshingly Smooth Flavor
Goldholly yaupon tea is smooth and refreshing, with no bitter astringency and a pleasant aftertaste. We offer three roasts of our organic tea to showcase the full spectrum of yaupon’s natural, dynamic flavors. Each roast delivers a unique flavor profile, with the same smooth and refreshing sipping experience.
- Ocelot Light Roast is bright and crisp, reminiscent of a jasmine or herbal tea.
- Panther Medium Roast is balanced and floral, comparable to a green tea.
- Red Wolf Dark Roast is bold and toasted, tasting most like a black tea.
Try all 3 roasts and find your favorite—enjoy them hot or iced!
All-Day Clean Energy
Yaupon's natural caffeine and long-lasting theacrine deliver refreshing sip-it-all-day, jitter-free energy without the spikes and crashes typical of coffee, energy drinks, black tea, and other caffeine options.
Goldholly yaupon tea contains ~30mg of caffeine per teabag, as well as other energizing compounds like theacrine and theobromine, which are known to elevate focus, enhance clarity, and improve mood. Desired effects can be achieved by adjusting the number of teabags used to brew them:
- Elevated focus (1 teabag)
- All-day energy (2 teabags)
- Peak performance (3 teabags)
Yaupon tea’s caffeine content can also vary depending on preparation method. Hot brewed yaupon results in the highest caffeine content, whether you drink immediately or drink it cold after refrigeration. Our organic yaupon can also be cold brewed, though this results in lower caffeine content.
Enhanced Focus & Cognition
Our organic tea contains theacrine and theobromine, which work in tandem with caffeine for enhanced mental clarity and focus throughout the day.
- Theacrine is known for boosting energy, improving mood, and supporting sustained concentration. Plus, on its own, theacrine doesn’t impact sleep and actually improves cognitive recovery. Recent peer-reviewed research published in Nature found “no significant effect of the low or high theacrine dose on subsequent sleep” and that “consuming theacrine within eight hours of bedtime improved next-morning cognitive performance.”
- Theobromine—the feel-good molecule found in chocolate—is known for promoting calm alertness, improving circulation, and enhancing overall cognitive performance.
Together they create a balanced, smooth lift that sharpens focus without jitters, spikes, or crashes.

Healthy Antioxidants
Goldholly yaupon naturally contains a host of health-supporting natural antioxidants that are known to fight inflammation, promote longevity, and support cognitive function and health. These span antioxidant polyphenols, including flavonoids like rutin (quercetin-3-rutinoside) and kaempferol glycosides like nicotiflorin, as well as a range of chlorogenic polyphenols (CGA). Separately, yaupon’s caffeine, theacrine, and theobromine are also antioxidants.
Yaupon holly naturally contains these antioxidants just as it grows, offering health-support and better energy without any additional ingredients or additives.
No Tannins
Yaupon tea naturally has no tannins—tannins are a family of astringent plant-based compounds with pigment-producing properties and a bitter taste.
As a result, compared to coffee and tea, our organic yaupon tea offers fewer teeth stains, easier digestion, and smooth sipping, without any bitterness.

Let customers speak for us
from 98 reviewsI am always on the lookout for new tea! The light/ocelot blend of yaupon has an earthy, mild, and sweet tea with an aftertaste of green tea. I get less jitters from it due to the lower caffeine, but it still helps me get moving when I need to. Or it can be just a pleasant cup to enjoy- it's starting to become my mid-morning habit! And when I'm wearing out in the afternoon, I can drink yaupon instead of my regular energy drink. I can't wait to try it with ice!
I am particularly fond of the Ocelot Light Roast! But all three are wonderful! Highly recommend!
I am a heavy coffee drinker, but I was delighted to try this tea! I love its sweet, floral, herby flavor. Perfect straight up or with honey. Each roast is unique and interesting in its own way and all are great. I also love that it's easy on my stomach unlike tea at times. True to description I find it gives me the perfect mood lift and mental clarity to start the day off easy before hitting the coffee. I will definitely be buying more of this!
I had no idea what to expect when I bought this tea. It's my new favorite hot beverage!
Coffee makes me crash too hard, black tea upsets my stomach from all the tannins. But I really do enjoy that cup of something in the morning with a little kick. I tried the three pack of each roast, and while they're all good, I think the light is my favorite. If you're worried about it tasting weird or nasty it does not at all. It's very light. Easy to drink and has a great flavor. And the absolute perfect amount of caffeine with no crash. No jitters but still gets you that get up and go.
I never realized there was more to hot caffeinated drinks than coffee and tea, so was really excited to try this. Loved the taste and felt like the pick-me-up factor was on point. Highly recommend to all tea/coffee drinkers!
This tea is clean, supports small farmers, and is local to my area. I love that I get to support this small brand instead of a massive corporation. I usually don’t drink tea straight because most taste bitter but no sugar required here - I find it delicious enough to drink as-is. I’ve enjoyed it hot and iced and doesn’t make me feel restless or jittery. I also had an issue with my order delivery and Liam was very responsive and gave me amazing customer service. I recommend the variety pack for first timers. I’ll definitely be ordering again when I run out.
I'm a bit of a coffee and tea snob, though entirely by accident. My wife got into tea some years ago. I was never a tea person, but I got interested in it while helping her develop some blends. It turns out I like hard, smokey, fermented teas like pu'er and smoke Lapsang Souchong. I saw GoldHolly's advertisement on Facebook after buying a round of "my" teas from a Chinese sourcing company.
The thing is, I also love new things, and I love buying American. I'd never heard of a North American native alternative. There is only one tea (Camellia sinensis) plantation in the United States (in Charleston, SC) and they sell out very early in the harvest season. So I decided to give all three roasts a try.
Each one is impressive, and the brewed flavor actually has real range. There are definitive taste differences between each roast level, and I can find one that fits my mood for the moment. Don't be fooled by my comments earlier about liking "hard" tea -- these yaupon teas are not. They're low tannin, don't taste anything like fermented fish, and are downright enjoyable. It's actually quite nice to get full flavor out of something without getting beaten over the teeth with tannins.
These have become part of my normal tea/coffee rotation. If you like "normal" black tea, but find green tea too weak or uninteresting - I think this product line is an especially good fit. It has a familiarity, in the sense that is shares flavor profiles with oolong and black tea, but is also different.
When I'm looking for something lighter than my "heavy hitters," I reach for the GoldHolly now. Especially if you want a full-flavor tea but don't feel like dealing with the tannins.
Very happy customer.
I got a bundle with all 3 flavors and have liked them all. I think the dark roast is my favorite, but they are all good. I’m usually a green tea drinker and just wanted to add more variety to my mornings.
We loved this tea and can't wait to get more. It's mild and gentle, and very smooth. It reminded me a bit of yerba mate but without the bitterness. It's really good!!
This has quickly replaced my afternoon coffee. It tastes great and is incredibly smooth, lacking any bitterness of traditional tea. Its light caffeination provides enough energy to make it through a busy afternoon without keeping you up at night.
So delicious and smooth. I’ve been finding it particularly enjoyable when I hit the post lunch slump. Really tasty. I look forward my GoldHolly tea every day now. Thanks!
I’m loving this! It’s a great pick-me-up on those rough work days, even though I’m technically a tea snob and usually only drink the British brew!
I’ve been using the light roast cold brew for a while now (2 packets in a quart size deli container left in fridge overnight) and it’s been a refreshing summer drink! It’s especially good for staving off the post-lunch food coma. Can’t wait to try the other flavors!
I first saw this tea on an Instagram ad, and it was funny timing as I just starting expanding my tea selection (I don’t do well with coffee or high caffeine energy drinks). I was interested in the low tannins of the tea, and that this was a native plant grown organically, the price was fair so I took a chance and ordered a box. Let me just tell you, I’m blown away! The taste is much better than I was expecting, and there is no bitterness that you get with other teas. The lower caffeine was nice for me as I could drink it later in the evening and have no trouble winding down to go to sleep and still enjoy a good tea while relaxing after a work day. I’ve tried it both hot and iced, and I think my preference is iced but hot is still great! Adding a touch of honey and lemon really brings it up a notch and is my go to way of drinking both hot or cold. If you’re on the fence of ordering some, just do it, I’m sure you will be happy!
Goldholly is better for America & the planet.
All-Natural + Organic
Goldholly organic yaupon tea is USDA-certified organic and grown on regenerative, family-run farms across the American South. Nourished by nothing but rainwater and sunshine, our yaupon is completely free of pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic chemicals.
Each sip offers a clean, natural boost—not just for you, but for the farmers, the land, and the living soil it comes from.
Ecosystems + Biodiversity
Yaupon holly belongs here. As a native plant, it fits the Southern landscape without displacing other species. Thoughtful harvesting opens dense understory, improves habitat structure, and lowers wildfire risk—this keeps ecosystems resilient and strong. That same resilience benefits people, too: yaupon gives landowners a low‑input, regenerative income stream and keeps value in rural communities.
This is why each of our roasts are named in honor of threatened species that call yaupon’s heartland home:
- Texas Ocelot → Ocelot Light Roast
- Florida Panther → Panther Medium Roast
- Carolina Red Wolf → Red Wolf Dark Roast
Every cup helps keep ecosystems intact—and livelihoods viable.
100% American-Made
Goldholly is grown, crafted, and shipped entirely in the United States. Our organic yaupon comes from regenerative family farms across the South, is packaged in Philadelphia, and fulfilled in Poughkeepsie, New York. There, we proudly partner with Mid-Hudson Works, a nonprofit that provides meaningful jobs for veterans and people with disabilities.
Drink Goldholly and feel good knowing each sip supports American farmers, workers, and communities.
Local Jobs + Communities
Goldholly is rooted in the communities where it’s grown and made. We craft our organic tea from yaupon holly—a resilient native crop that creates new income for Southern farmers and fresh opportunities in rural economies.
Every order is hand-packed in New York by Mid-Hudson Works, a nonprofit providing meaningful work to veterans and people with disabilities. From farm to fulfillment, your daily boost supports local jobs, stronger communities, and a more resilient American supply chain.
